April 4 - International Edible Book Festival, Hays - Competition and display of books you can eat so you can "Eat your Words." Local lovers of art, books and food are joining forces and talents to mount Hays' 3rd Annual Edible Book Festival as part of the International Edible Book Festival, which takes place annually in April. April 11 - Flatland String Band at the Iron Horse, El Dorado - Old time to contemporary tunes but focuses on American, Irish and European music. These tunes are representative of this ethnic mix in the American Midwest in the late 1800's.
