Burt-Stark Mansion - Built in the 1830s, this Greek-Revival house was the site of the first reading of the secession papers, giving birth to the Confederacy. The "Cause" died here as well. A National Historic Landmark, the house contains Stark family antiques, including the furnishing used by Jefferson and his war council.

The Museum - The Museum is a general museum with collections in cultural history, natural history, technology, and the arts, with particular emphasis on Greenwood County and the surrounding region.

Dunklin House - Washington Williams built this house as a wedding gift to his daughter. One of the oldest homes in the city of Laurens, it now functions as a museum and is owned by the Laurens County Landmark Foundation.

Rose Hill Mansion - The son of a Charleston merchant, Gist rose from modest beginnings to be elected governor of South Carolina in 1858. By then he had come to accept the belief that South Carolina could protect slavery only by withdrawing from the Union. Today, visitors can walk the elegant grounds, tour the plantation home, admire its beautiful rose gardens and explore other original plantation buildings

Emerald Farm - Working dairy farms offers a chance for hands on Experience - educational walk through the herb garden. Visit the Soap Factory and Gift Shop where all natural Saanon goat milksoap and body products are made. Stroll through the Train and Hobby Shop, get a glimpse of the trains running in the Model Railroad clubhouse. Picnic or just rest a while in the pavilion.

Greenwood Community Theatre - Housed in the historic State Theater building at 110 Main Street that opened to the public as a movie house in 1934. GCT produces seven shows during its regular season, from August through May, featuring adult and youth performers.

Winchester Museum - The national headquarters of the National Wild Turkey Federation. With more than 30,000 square feet, the Wild Turkey Center in Edgefield, includes a museum; a 3,000-square foot conference center; the Turkey Shoppe; the NWTF's gift shop; the Outdoor Education Center and warehouse space.

J. Strom Thurmond Dam & Lake - One of the southeast's largest and most popular public recreation lakes. The lake offers camping, day use areas, boating, fishing, hunting, and trails. Baker Creek State Park and Hickory Knob State Park are located on the shores of the lake.

Abbeville Opera House - Presents live theater as the cultural hub of Abbeville and the Upstate Region of South Carolina. The Opera House also houses a community theater Winter Season and a repertory theater company each year.
