The interactive displays of the Lewis and Clark Family Center, located on Farm Island, offer hands-on lessons in U.S. history.

River Boat Tour - See the sights from the vantage point of the region’s early travelers - from a boat traversing the Missouri River. The Capital City Queen takes you on a two-hour cruise of historic landmarks, including the mouth of the Bad River where the Lewis and Clark expedition held counsel with the Teton Sioux.

Pierre Players Community Theatre - If you are looking for a fun night out then come to the Pierre Players Community Theater and see what is playing. During the past 40 years, Pierre Players has produced 169 shows and sponsored 12 touring productions.

Black Hills Photo Shootout - The Black Hills Photo Shootout will be two and a half days of unique field workshops, scenic photo walks, inspiring indoor workshops and informal social events. Photographers of all skill levels and interests are invited to participate. Guest speakers will also share insights.

The Casey Tibbs Match of Champions - The Casey Tibbs Match of Champions is a spectacular bronc riding event matching the world’s top cowboys against top bucking stock. Champions from South Dakota and all over are invited to compete. The twelve top scorers from round one compete for six positions in the final round.
