Annual Beach Music Weekend - A four-day series of free concerts is presented on a stage built right on the beach. Evening shows on Thursday and Friday, a full day of entertainment on Saturday, and more daytime concerts on Sunday. All performances are free to the public. A giant 20-foot inflatable jukebox on the beach towers over the fun as festival-goers kick off their shoes and dance their cares away on the sands of Virginia Beach.

Artisans in the Park - An outdoor art & craft festival featuring over 100 artisans, live stage entertainment, family-themed performers, special children's activities and festival foods! Free and open to the public with on-site parking. Experience the Fun!

Boardwalk Art Show & Festival - The Boardwalk Art Show & Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the season. Featuring fine art, great shopping, and live entertainment, it's an event you won't want to miss! It is ranked as one of the top 15 fine art shows in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine. This four-day festival features fine art, great shopping, and live entertainment for the entire family.

Chalk the Walk ARTsplosion - At the Chalk the Walk, participants draw four by four foot chalk drawings right on the boardwalk! This unique art show is dedicated to local and regional artists. Live entertainment helps create a relaxed, inviting atmosphere for all.

East Coast Surfing Championships - The world's top professional surfers, and amateur surfers travel to Virginia Beach to "ride the curl" at the Oceanfront and compete for cash prizes. People also take part in skimboarding, volleyball, an oceanfront 5K run, a swimsuit competition and skateboarding. Live bands perform for free on an oceanfront stage throughout the weekend.

FunkFest - A new spin on an existing festival, FunkFest celebrates the music of influential legends like James Brown, Sly and the Family Stone, George Clinton, and The Ohio Players. FunkFest will feature bands in free concerts at the 24th Street Park. Food, merchandise, and dance contests will contribute to a festive, “funky” vibe in the park!

Holiday Parade at the Beach - Marching bands, lighted floats, equestrian units, fire trucks, performing dance groups, motorcycles, and more join forces to present a dazzling and entertaining night of fun for all ages! And best of all, Santa himself makes a grand appearance to greet all his loyal fans as the evening winds down.

Naval Air Station Oceana Air Show - Enjoy the power and precision of the breathtaking U.S. Navy Blue Angels as well as thrilling aerobatics from the world's top civilian performers. Marvel at the awesome might of U.S. military aircraft like the F/A-18C Hornet, the F/A-18E Super Hornet, the E-2C Hawkeye and be sure not to miss the smoke and thunder of the Shockwave Jet Truck.

Neptune Festival - The Neptune Festival offers everything from a world-class sandcastle competition to numerous athletic competitions and the famous Neptune Grand Parade. Over 275 artisans will line the boardwalk for the Neptune Art and Craft Show interspersed with a veritable smorgasbord of food vendors dishing out delectable delights guaranteed to please any palette.

Stars & Stripes Explosion - Multiple live performances on oceanfront stages attract tens of thousands of visitors and residents of Hampton Roads to a “star-spangled” salute to this great country of ours at Stars & Stripes Explosion! Musical acts offer something for everyone with tribute bands saluting some of the biggest names in music.

Striped Bass World Championship - Each winter, thousands of anglers converge on Virginia's coast with one thing on their minds - Stripers. Virginia Beach has taken on the moniker of "the striped bass capital of the world", and for good reason. There are more large striped bass caught out of Rudee Inlet in Virginia Beach during the winter months than anywhere else in the world.

Town Center First Fridays Art Walk - The first Friday of each month, May – October, residents and visitors can stroll around the sidewalks of Town Center enjoying the fine wares of some of Hampton Roads best local artists, as well as painting demonstrations by Town Center's own Jones Family and entertainment on both the Fountain & Sandler Plazas.

Verizon Wireless American Music Festival - The sounds of rock, jazz, country, blues, R&B, and more flood the Virginia Beach oceanfront for three sun-filled days over Labor Day Weekend at the American Music Festival. The largest outdoor musical event on the East coast, the American Music Festival brings together local, regional, and national acts to play on a gigantic 60-foot wide and 60-foot tall stage on the beach.
