Located northeast of Washington Island in Lake Michigan. To get to this primitive island requires 2 ferry rides. The ferry to Rock Island is a passengers-only ferry. All supplies and equipment except for drinking water must be brought to the island. The island offers camping, picnicking, 10 miles of hiking trails, fishing, boating,the oldest lighthouse in wisconsin and 2000 feet of beach. Tours of Pottawatomie Lighthouse are given daily while the park is open. This park is open from Memorial Day through Columbus Day.
Located in northern Wisconsin about 25 miles south of Ashland. Deep gorges, waterfalls and lava flows make this one of Wisconsinís most scenic parks. Activities include camping, swimming at Loon Lake, canoeing, kayaking, hiking on the 17 miles of trails, biking, picnicking, fishing and hunting. Winter activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and a trail for skate skiing. Park is open all year.
